THE WORLD IS A CIRCLE WE LIVE IN – excerpts of experience.
27th July – 8th August 2010
Opening – Saturday 31st July 4-6pm
The works by Melbourne based jewellery designer Roseanne Bartley are created from materials left behind discarded and dismantled. Plastic spoons, tennis balls, tin lids, pull rings and bottle lids inform her recent works that respond to the concept of mass and amassing.
The materials Roseanne collects reveal aspects that are unique about a place or the people. For example her house is the distance it takes to eat an icy-pole from the seven eleven. Her jewellery is created from the found object and her design tells the story observed in its collection.
